Package: ruby2.3 Version: 2.3.0-5 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
Some packages, in particular vim-addon-manager, depend on "ruby | ruby-interpreter" and assume that this means that /usr/bin/ruby always exists, however ruby2.3 provides ruby-interpreter but does not provide /usr/bin/ruby. I'm not sure if this is the fault of ruby2.3 itself or vim-addon-manager so I've filed opposite versions of this bug report against both packages. (a link to the other bug will be added once I have it.) This can, of course, be mitigated by installing the ruby metapackage, however I had removed it during the ruby 2.2 -> 2.3 transition as there was a time when both versions were installed but nothing explicitly depended on version 2.2.
