I wish I could provide some log output or something, but nothing's showing up in syslog or dmesg. I can mount manually fine, so I know it's not bad media, but gnome-volume-manager, hald, pmount & Co. fail to automount data CDs/DVDs, autoplay media CDs/DVDs or autoimport digital photos from a digital camera. All of this has worked with older versions, and I can't be sure this is a g-v-m bug and not a hald/dbus/kernel bug, but I figured this is the most logical place to start. Sorry for any wasted time.
