Package: libsane Version: 1.0.17-1 Severity: normal
Hi, I have a multifunctional printer-scanner-copier, HP PSC 750. hplip fails to work because permissions on /dev/usb/lp0 are set wrong: crw-rw-r-- 1 root scanner 180, 0 2006-01-19 13:58 /dev/usb/lp0 Obviously it should be the 'lp' group and not the 'scanner' group. There is no reason for sane to touch my printer device. The output corresponding to my HP PSC 750, from lsusb: Bus 002 Device 003: ID 03f0:1411 Hewlett-Packard Thanks. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.15-1-686 Locale: LANG=da_DK.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=da_DK.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages libsane depends on: ii adduser 3.80 Add and remove users and groups ii libc6 2.3.5-12 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgphoto2-2 2.1.6-6 gphoto2 digital camera library ii libgphoto2-port0 2.1.6-6 gphoto2 digital camera port librar ii libieee1284-3 0.2.10-1 cross-platform library for paralle ii libjpeg62 6b-11 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libusb-0.1-4 2:0.1.10a-22 userspace USB programming library ii makedev 2.3.1-79 creates device files in /dev Versions of packages libsane recommends: ii sane-utils 1.0.17-1 API library for scanners -- utilit ii udev [hotplug] 0.081-1 /dev/ and hotplug management daemo -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
