I tried to compile this patch with the following command line. It launches the
menuconfig window and I navigate to Power->Software Suspend 2 and enable the
relevant options.
make-kpkg --initrd --added-patches suspend2 --config menuconfig
kernel_image

I've installed "linux-source-2.6.12" (Version: 2.6.12-10) and unpacked
it. I installed the hibernate scripts.

After compiling for a while the make-kpkg process fails with the errors
included below. I stuffed the config options directly into my .config
and restarted make-kpkg.
