If the app is moving itself after it has been mapped this doesn't
sound like a bug in fvwm but in the app. Browsers have a long history
of misbehaving.

The newest version of fvwm in unstable is now 2.6.7, maybe see if this helps.

If this still happens you can recover the browser (lets say it is
firefox) by doing something like

Next (firefox) Move 0 0

to move the window back to the current page.
