Package: xmlstarlet
Version: 1.6.1-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

If xmlstarlet is complied from source, the output of 'xmlstarlet --version'
is something like:
  1.6.1
  compiled against libxml2 2.9.2, linked with 20903
compiled against libxslt 1.1.28, linked with 10128

However, if installed from the debian package, the first line is an empty
string, only including the versions of the libraries linked to, i.e., the
"1.6.1" is missing.

Scripts that use xmlstarlet might check the installed version for
compatibility reasons, so this is important.
