Package: git-buildpackage
Version: 0.8.12.1
Severity: normal

Hi,

I tried to build a package with gbp buildpackage and I was surprised to
see that it didn't call pbuilder at all. Running "gbp buildpackage -h"
revealed that the "builder" option was set to dpkg-buildpackage, whereas
it's configured in my ~/.gbp.conf as git-pbuilder in the [DEFAULT]
section, as it is in the case in the default
/etc/git-buildpackage/gbp.conf file (and which worked this way until now).

Copying the line to the [buildpackage] section makes gbp buildpackage
recognize the option and work as before.

I'm not sure if it's a regression or the new intended behavior, but if
it's the latter, the default config file should be modified accordingly,
and additionally, perhaps a note in NEWS.Debian should be added since
this is quite an important change (I use gbp buildpackage for several
years now and for as long as I can remember, every config file example I
saw on the web put this option in the [DEFAULT] section).
