Package: haproxy Version: 1.7.5-2 Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer, Upgrading from Jessie (haproxy 1.5.8-3+deb8u2) to Stretch (1.7.5-2) leads us to some bad behaviour with some backends. More specificaly, the use of a websocket was broken by the use of compression. A minor workaround was to disable compression for that backend. This problem was introduced by some earlier patches between 1.5.3 and 1.5.5. More information on those threads : https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg25349.html => Inital report with patch for 1.7.3 that later introduced other problems https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg26621.html => Last report with fix in 1.7.8 So the new HAProxy 1.7.8 version has corrected this problem (and others, perhaps more important but which didn't impacted us). I have tested with the sid package version, all is fine. Is it planned to backport those patches in stretch / stretch-updates ? Or should we wait for a backport ?
