It is quite strange indeed: i have installed liblz4-tool, and the described behaviour has vanished. After purging liblz4-tool, the correct exptected behvaiour of apt-file remains Maybe this was due to a problem with the synchronisation of the debian packages... Sorry for the noise Best Ara
