Hi,

My doubts about this being "the same bug" are confirmed: this was not.
My system actualy suffered from #897572, which was almost entirely fixed
by plymouth 0.9.3-3.

I say "almost" because there is still a 4-5 seconds difference between
boot times with or without plymouth (I didn't test again without
plymouth today, but now systemd-analyze still shows an average boot-time
of approximately 15 seconds, instead of 10 without plymouth during my
tests a week ago), but the huge delay with the graphical theme is gone,
and the graphical splash screen is again properly displayed (also, when
I did my tests a week ago, I figured that trying to get a console by
repeatedly pressing Ctrl-Alt-F2 kind of shortened this huge delay, which
concurs with the behavior described in #897572).

The shutdown delay still happens occasionally though, but now I'm not
sure anymore if it's caused by plymouth.

So, this last e-mail was not about #781923 but really about #897572,
which can be considered as fixed as far as I'm concerned. Sorry for the
confusion.

Regards,
