Install emacsen-common for emacs emacsen-common: Handling install of emacsen flavor emacs Install w3m-el-snapshot for emacs install/w3m-el-snapshot: already byte-compiled for emacs, skipped It shouldn't skip the last step. Yes TK> apt-get --reinstall install emacsen-common TK> apt-get --reinstall install w3m-el-snapshot makes the problem go away. I suppose I will have to do this from now on every time.
