Package: git-buildpackage Version: 0.9.13 Severity: normal Dear Maintainer,
pristine-tar is a recommends, not a depends, so it wasn't installed on my system and it took quite some time to figure out why the buildpackage was failing. Wouldn't a depends make more sense (for those who've disabled automatic installation of recommends)? If not, could the error message provide a hint regarding installing the pristine-tar package?
