I just took a look at the Debian source package of binutils-avr and it looks kind of messy. In binutils-avr_2.26.20160125+Atmel3.6.2-1.diff.gz, it contains a 20000+ line file (debian/autoreconf.after), which is automatically generated by dh-autoreconf and should never be included in the source package. To avoid such mess and better incorporate with git packaging, converting from format 1.0 to format 3.0 (quilt) might be a good choice. -- Thanks, Boyuan Yang
