Package: nagios-pgsql Version: 2:1.3-cvs.20050402-12 Severity: important
Recently my main nagios process started crashing. After switching it to foreground so I can see what's going on, I found this message after the latest crash: *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x080a4820 *** Aborted The crashes seem to be almost random. Sometimes it will run for a week, sometimes only 30 minutes. This seemed to start happening after I installed some packages from Debian's "testing" branch. Thereafter I also installed a "testing" version of nagios in case it was due to a nagios<->glibc incompatibility. However, the mysterious crashes continue. -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 APT prefers testing APT policy: (650, 'testing'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.7-1-686 Locale: LANG=C, LC_CTYPE=C (charmap=ANSI_X3.4-1968) Versions of packages nagios-pgsql depends on: ii dbconfig-common 1.8.11 common framework for packaging dat ii debconf [debconf-2 1.4.30.13 Debian configuration management sy ii libc6 2.3.6-3 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libdbd-pg-perl 1.41-3 a PostgreSQL interface for Perl 5 ii libgd2-xpm 2.0.33-1.1 GD Graphics Library version 2 ii libjpeg62 6b-10 The Independent JPEG Group's JPEG ii libpng12-0 1.2.8rel-1 PNG library - runtime ii libpq4 8.1.0-3 PostgreSQL C client library ii nagios-common 2:1.3-cvs.20050402-12 A host/service/network monitoring ii zlib1g 1:1.2.2-4.sarge.2 compression library - runtime -- debconf information: nagios-pgsql/purge: false nagios/warnmovedcommands: nagios-pgsql/db/app-user: nagiospgsql nagios-pgsql/remote/newhost: nagios-pgsql/pgsql/manualconf: nagios-pgsql/remote/host: nagios-pgsql/upgrade-error: abort nagios/warncoords: * nagios/wwwsuid: true nagios-pgsql/db/dbname: nagiospgsql nagios-pgsql/import-oldsettings: nagios-pgsql/dbconfig-remove: true nagios-pgsql/pgsql/changeconf: false nagios/newapachecfg: nagios/upgradefromnetsaint: * nagios/configapache: Apache2 nagios-pgsql/performing_upgrade: false nagios-pgsql/passwords-do-not-match: nagios-pgsql/install-error: abort nagios-pgsql/pgsql/no-empty-passwords: nagios-pgsql/remote/port: nagios-pgsql/database-type: nagios-pgsql/dbconfig-upgrade: true nagios-pgsql/pgsql/method: unix socket * nagios-pgsql/dbconfig-install: true nagios-pgsql/pgsql/authmethod-user: ident nagios-pgsql/remove-error: abort nagios/warnupgrade_5_6: nagios-pgsql/pgsql/authmethod-admin: ident nagios-pgsql/upgrade-backup: true nagios-pgsql/pgsql/admin-user: postgres -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
