Dear Maintainer,
* What led up to the situation?
On Debian Testing (updated) I've seen this bug for a couple of years now.
Using PCManFM's built-in remote-server connection (Menu: Go → Connect with
server) and choosing SSH you can mount a remote filesystem. Now, if in any
folder of that system you edit a plain text file with leafpad and save it, all
the file content gets erased.
* What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
ineffective)?
With leafpad this problem is consistent.
With other editors (nano, mousepad) the problem doesn't exists.
If the mounting is done through sshfs, then leafpad works fine.
* What was the outcome of this action?
Edit and save a file with leafpad on this circumstances (using PCManFM's
built-in connection method) results in complete deletion of all file's content.
* What outcome did you expect instead?
Normal edit-and-save.
