$ grep -i ssh /tmp/kde.env SSH_AGENT_PID=7009 SSH_AUTH_SOCK=/tmp/ssh-xpDyZV7007/agent.7007 Do you see it?
Yes, and the numbers are the same as those I see on the konsole (when running "set|grep -i ssh")
OK, then it's properly set up.
If not, you will have to make sure that ssh-agent is made available to KDE, e.g. via /etc/X11/Xsession.d or ~/.kde/env.
Then, maybe it is konqueror --preload problem? When I killed all "kdeinit: konqueror" instances, then it began to work!
Uhm, odd. Can you disable konqueror preloading in the control center, log out and in, and see if it works? Also, what method do you use to set the envvars in kde, ~/.kde/env?, /etc/X11/Xsession.d?
I don't have ~/.kde/env, I just have standard Debian Xsession.d:
$ dlocate 90xfree86-common_ssh-agent xfree86-common: /etc/X11/Xsession.d/90xfree86-common_ssh-agent
I send it in the attachment.
PS If you cannot reproduce the problem, maybe its because you use kwallet?
When I enter sftp:// password to kwallet, then konqueror doesn't ask me for password too.
