Hi,

I think I found the problem for this bug. I made an apt-get upgrade
of a machine running kernel 4.19.0-8-amd64 with many pending updates.

I found this squence of events:
  - the script that cleans the old dkms modules is run,
  - openafs-client is restarted,
  - the new dkms modules are built.

This means that when openafs-client is restart there is no openafs
module. After I run "systemctl stop openafs-client ; systemctl start
openafs-client", the OpenAFS is OK again.

If you need more details to chase down this bug I can provide the full
output of the "apt-get upgrade"

Kind regards
Jose M Calhariz
