Package: manpages-de
Version: 4.9.1-5
Severity: serious

On several of my systems, manpages-de fails to upgrade from 4.2.0-1 to
4.9.1-5 as follows:

Get:1 https://debian.ethz.ch/debian sid/main amd64 manpages-de all 4.9.1-5
[2750 kB]
Fetched 2750 kB in 0s (12.8 MB/s)
E: This installation run will require temporarily removing the essential
package manpages-de:amd64 due to a Conflicts/Pre-Depends loop. This is often
bad, but if you really want to do it, activate the APT::Force-LoopBreak option.
E: Internal Error, Could not early remove manpages-de:amd64 (2)

I though have no idea why apt regards manpages-de as
essential. X-Debbugs-Cc'ing the APT developers at
de...@lists.debian.org.
