this is an old bug and it feels a little obscure. Could you confirm that this is still an issue for you with current (preferably 3.04+git20210103-1 or newer) versions of xpdf? If so, can you try to find out where these strings come from (they look like Xresources meant for xterm, or some such)? Florian
