Well popcon is not representative ;-) or mandatory > After some debug I have in dpkg-maintscript-helper logs: > DEBUG: dpkg-maintscript-helper: File '/etc/reader.conf.d/0comments' > not owned by packageĀ 'pcscd:amd64', skipping rm_conffile That's pretty strange... cause I know several packages who had some of their conffiles also removed improperly and then cleaned up later on. Perhaps a problem with the specified version? I'd suggest to ask the dpkg folks how to do it right. > My last option is to force the removal of > /etc/reader.conf.d/0comments using something simple like "rm -f > /etc/reader.conf.d/0comments" but I think that is a dangerous idea. And it would still be not properly cleaned up, as dpkg would still consider it there and a conffile. This also causes troubles for tools like debums, which, AFIAU, then fail with a missing conffile. Cheers, Chris.
