Package: stopmotion Version: 0.5.1-1 Severity: wishlist At the moment, it is a bit hard to set up a video4linux device to work with stopmotion. I tried to demonstrate stopmotion a few weeks ago, and failed because it was unable to find and use the v4l device.
Have a look at gnomemeeting, and how it detects the available video devices. I suggest stopmotion get a similar system. It automatically displays a name for the video unit, and can check if the video device is working quite easily.
