hmm - it's not showing much.

What does xfd do with that pattern?  (using single quotes):

xfd -fn '-*-terminus-*-*-*-32-*-*-*-*-*-*-*'

If you don't have that installed, it's part of x11-utils: /usr/bin/xfd

(reinstalling the font might be helpful)
