Dear Luca, I tried, but it seems that I would need to create a gitlab.com account just to report this bug. You probably already have an account there: could you please be so kind and forward my bug report upstream, instead of closing it? Doing so would have a number of advantages: you could tag this bug report as forwarded and it would keep track of the upstream bug status; moreover, keeping my Debian bug report open (until a fix has landed in Debian) would inform other Debian users that the bug is already known, thus avoiding that other Debian bug reports are filed in the future about the same issue...
