If a torrent contains any files starting with a dot (.), bittornado will refuse to open the torrent altogether with the error message like this: ERROR (<date> <time>) - got bad file info - path <.filename> disallowed for security reasons This behavior is probably inherited from the Windows version. It isn't really justified in Windows either as far as I can see, but certainly not in linux.
