I have the exact same problem and it seems to also exist on gentoo (http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=121828). I have my bt for before, during and after the call to ssh-askpass (X11 only - The problem doesn't exist with other ssh-askpass alteranatives).
