Dear Maintainer,in my fork [1] I made some progress. Newsboat 2.36 only fails during the tests now. If I disable the tests it gets build successfully and I was already able to install the deb and use newsboat 2.36.
Maybe you can have a look at my changes and repair the tests? I'd really hope newsboat will return to testing and will be included in trixie.
