Hi Noël,

in our bug of the day initiative this bug showed up as one of the
randomly picked bugs[1]. I'd like to hear your opinion about this
package. This package has lost some kind of popularity but its clearly
used according to popcon[2]. There was no new upstream version for
quite some time but according to tracker[3] there seems to be some
issue with either upstream download page or upstream web site which
I did not checked.

It seems the bugs open against this package[4] show that some upstream
features might be missing and it might turn out you became silently
upstream without knowing.

Could you give some hint for the bug of the day team what might be
the proper way to deal with the package? We might volunteer to
create some repository inside salvage-team for you if you think
its worth keeping this package inside Debian. However, if you think
this might be a candidate for removal from Debian, you might like
to do so (or give us permission to do so).

Lucky to have met you again at DebConf
     Andreas.
