unfortunately, i haven't been able to do make any progress. i attempted
to duplicate an environment in a chroot directory but was unable to
reproduce the problem.
someone else did make a comment on your bug report, though i can't tell
if it's relevant or not, perhaps you could take a look?
also, fyi i'm going to be backpacking through central europe for
the next two weeks, so i might not be too responsive during this
period. if you do find any more information please do update the
bug report.
