Another aspect is that you have librewolf installed from a .deb package. But, as far as I can see, there's no package 'librewolf' in the official Debian archive, hence the .deb package you installed must come from an unofficial repository... Is that correct? Could it be that this 'librewolf' .deb package does something weird with the SSL configuration on your system? Please take a look at /var/lib/dpkg/info/librewolf.* (especially to librewolf.preinst and librewolf.postinst) and try to check whether the scripts perform some actions which modify the SSL configuration of the system where the .deb package gets installed. One last thing.
