Hello Gijs,

first, thank you for your work on Debian!

I am experiencing problems generating PDFs using Pandoc and Context.
I noticed that the update of texlive-base (2025.20250927-3) ships
with an empyt texmfcnf.lua. The symbolic link

/usr/share/texmf/web2c/texmfcnf.lua

The file has moved over to the ConTeXt package (where it really belongs to), I've removed the broken symlink, from texlive-base.

Then I noticed that there is a new Context and a new luametatex and packaged both today [1] . After installing all three packages and calling "mtxrun --generate" I could use context again (minimal example).

If you have a Debian unstable at hand, please give them a try. The packages are far from being finalized, the relationships are not fixed yet: you have to install texlive-base at first to remove the broken symlink. The luametatext is for arm64 (Rasberry Pi). Let me know, if you need another architecture.

Thanks,
  Hilmar
