Thanks for this info.  Though it looks like there is hope to have ppc64 support
in a newer version of luajit (bug#1117532[1]).

Still, it would be great to let luajit enable 5.2 and 5.3 compatible
mode so that aegisub don't have to embed a copy of luajit (see also
bug#781728[2]).  I have sent a few messages there but got no reply so
far.  I'll try including debian-devel@ to get a wider audience later
with more details.
