Dear FTP Masters, Please remove from unstable the ppc64el binaries for rocfft and all its reverse dependencies. I believe hipfft is the only other package to be removed. The spfft package was a reverse dependency of rocfft on ppc64el in spfft 1.1.1-4 and earlier, but the ROCm backend for ppc64el was removed in spfft 1.1.1-5. rocfft 6.4.3-1 FTBFS on ppc64el due to an internal compiler error [1]. This is blocking migration of the new rocfft package to testing. The cost-benefit ratio for fixing the compiler on ppc64el is poor because the ROCm packages don't seem to work on ppc64el anyway. I've included an explanation about why ROCm was built on ppc64el in the first place in my rocblas removal request [2]. The rocfft ICE appears to be in a different part of the compiler than the rocblas ICE, which is a lot more concerning to me than if there were multiple packages affected by the same compiler bug. I think we should drop the ppc64el builds of the ROCm math libraries until we have evidence that they work on that platform. As such, we need to remove the existing ppc64el binaries. Thank you for your help! Sincerely, Cory Bloor [1]: https://bugs.debian.org/1120438 [2]: https://bugs.debian.org/1122634
