I have just uploaded 1.9.2+ds-3 to NEW/experimental. I decided to stick with upstream conventions, so the SHA-256 enabled version is named libgit2-experimental. The new libgit2-experimental-dev package should be a drop-in replacement for libgit2-dev and can be used for regression tests.
