Pidgin 3 is currently in pre-alpha, but hopefully it will be ready in time for Debian 14. More discussion about this is at https://bugs.debian.org/883214 Pidgin and libpurple 3 is a major API break and everything that uses it will need changes. This is a warning that purple-lurch is unlikely to be included in Debian 14 unless someone ports it to work with the new version of pidgin. Thank you, Jeremy Bícha
