Since I'm the person dealing with this bug, I'm reasserting my maintainer privileges within Rust Team to set severity to important again. Stated more clearly, the reasoning is:
1. This bug is not serious. "Unmaintained since 2023" is not RC, even if it comes with a RUSTSEC advisory (for the mere fact of being unmaintained) sticked on it.
2. This bug is probably not actionable within a short time frame, as it is blocked by #1125488, which is seemingly blocked by the current ftpmasters uncertainty.
3. I do not want to have to remember to ping the bug to avoid autoremovals every month. These autoremovals are not needed ("needlessly removing") because of 1.
A branch with all (2) Rust Team packages updated to use daemonix instead of daemonize is at [1]. Jonas, other than those there's only your sccache. I'll file for removal of rust-daemonize after rust-daemonix is in unstable, but I'll ping you before that.
