Hi Kamal,

I realise that you are upstream and Debian maintainer of minimodem.
This is great and I'm happy you are dedicated to distribute your code
also trough Debian.  In the past it has turned out that it makes sense
to maintain the Debian packaging separately from the upstream repository
for instance if upstream does not require much changes any more as it
seems to be the case given that there was no change in the last ten
years.  The Debian packaging might be worth aligning to latest packaging
standards.  Moreover Debian's vcswatch is a bit confused about commits
that are not really related to the Debian packaging.

I would offer to migrate minimodem to the Debian team on Salsa and do a
NMU (or alternatively ping you once done for a regular maintainer upload
- whatever you prefer).
