Package: sopwith
Version: 2.9.0-1
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

The sopwith package recently added a high scores file, which is installed as
/var/games/sopwith/hiscores.txt. This file acts as a system-wide high scores
list and so needs to be writable for all users. However, the Debian package
installs the file with 644 permissions so that only the root user can write
high scores.

$ ls -l /var/games/sopwith/hiscores.txt
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 214 2025-12-07 13:45 /var/games/sopwith/hiscores.txt

Can you please update the package so that the file is writable by all users?
