Unless I've missed some changes, that's not the correct path to declare
dependencies for autopkgtest.
Oh my. That's a bad typo. I hope people familiar with autopkgtest will
understand what it is meant to say. I'll follow up with the most likely
packages that need adjustments to d/t/control if other people notice it
or complain about it.

And second, while you announced a MBF in debian-devel, the ngircd
package was not in the list. Again, did I miss something?
Prompted by the comments of other developers I decided to merge the main
MBF (runtime use of pidof) with the two smaller MBFs (use in build-time
tests and in autopkgtests) that were supposed to be done later. Because
these included only a handful of packages I forewent sending an updated
dd-list.
