I am not clear - are you suggesting to keep a separate repo for it, instead of using debian/debcargo-conf? I thought single crates should go on debcargo-conf - even if they have a binary (e.g. rust-bat).

If I misunderstood and you mean only a repo from which to make MRs, that is fine by me. About replying to the bugtracker: I thought this whole conversation was on record on the ITP bug, did I do something wrong? I am still new to Debian's email BTS workflow
