Thanks for the explanation. I totally missed that part of the man page. Feel free to close this bug. Idea: After "Long options require a double dash and may be abbreviated to uniqueness." add --hook-dir as example for abbreviation to --hook- directory. -- Benjamin Drung Debian & Ubuntu Developer
