No, the patch is the same as the one in the package. Should I perhaps upload
a new one with the right variable in front? :-)

There is no clear policy on NMU version numbers for native packages,
unfortunately; "dch -n" does what I did, but I've also seen recommendations
of "-0.1" (or "-0.0" as you suggest), but that would indicate a non-native
package, which upsets debuild and others.
