Following upstream review on https://github.com/systemd/systemd/pull/44413, upstream decided against suppressing EPERM/EACCES on device nodes in src/tmpfiles/tmpfiles.c, so I closed the upstream PR. Note that the original failure in udev.postinst was triggered by debhelper 13.32 (commit 14a5fb77), which dropped "|| true" from autoscripts/postinst-init-tmpfiles. Since debhelper 14.5 (commit 40011ce0, per CTTE #1141909) reverted that change and restored "|| true", udev packages built against debhelper >= 14.5 (including systemd 262.1-1 in unstable) no longer abort with exit status 73 when /dev/kvm is bind-mounted in unshare sbuild. -- Viktor Pashaiev <[email protected]>
