I still don't think this is resolved, considering that this isn't just about the standard library. It's also about irb, ri, and rdoc, and none of these things has a dummy package in common to pull them all in. Consequently, ruby-lang.org still feels it necessary to list the install command as: % sudo apt-get install ruby irb rdoc It's been two years since this bug was reported, please implement some kind of dummy package that can pull in everything.
