I know the WNPP package; I reported this to gnus because I think it might be sensible not to make a separate package and instead include starttls directly in gnus. Reasons: - It's quite small, there will likely be more packaging overhead than code - It's of absolute no use without gnus. It doesn't even contain information on how to use it - WNPP has *a lot* of RFP bugs. I hoped that the gnus maintainer might be interested in the program. That said, I'll of course fill a WNPP bug if aren't interested or if it's technically bad to include it directly in gnus.
