Package: devscripts
Version: 2.9.23
Severity: normal
File: /usr/bin/nmudiff
Hi,
I wanted to generate a NMU diff to attach as a proposed patch, and I
ran nmudiff as usual. However, when I exited vim as ":q!" (without
saving), the mail went away without confirmation...
I suppose I could alias nmudiff to nmudiff --sendmail /bin/false, but
this is suboptimal. The easiest fix would be to prompt for
confirmation before sending, but the more pedantic fix would be to
check for the timestamp of the tmp file which is sent as an email (I
think this is what Mutt does when you stop composing an email
abruptly).
I personally preferred the older nmudiff implementation which spawned
Mutt, as it honored my Mutt setup and would put the resulting message
in my "sent" folder. Is there a way to get this back? Perhaps I
should file a separate report for that part.
Bye,
