Interesting. I tried this but on my system, xxdiff DOES want XLFD font spec. If I try the above, I get:

  QFont::setRawName(): Invalid XLFD: "Lucidatypewriter,....

I think this person's problem and mine both have something to do more with the
interaction of xxdiff+Qt, rather than being a problem with xxdiff source
itself...

(Note, I'm using the .deb you have sent yesterday... I then reinstalled "xxdiff"
using apt-get, to get the current official released Debian version, and I get
the same thing.)
