Package: tomcat55 Version: 5.5.20-2 To deploy webapps from war files, tomcat must be able to write to /var/lib/tomcat5.5/conf/Catalina/localhost or else the META-INF/context.xml from the war is not copied/used. This is a working directory for tomcat and should have permissions as such.
