However, you can use Dejavu fonts which originated as fork of Bitstream Vera (so you won't miss it).
# aptitude remove ttf-bitstream-vera # aptitude install ttf-dejavu Reopen konqueror. That's it. Probably you already have ttf-dejavu installed since iceweasel displays the table fine. QT3 is not as good as GTK2 with regard to font handling (especially missing font glyphs).
