Perhaps you should include in your package the new patch that is available for the hostap driver included in the main kernel. Here is the link where I'm able to download it: http://patches.aircrack-ng.org I'm using this hostap patch for 2.6.18. It is easier to apply than the patch included, and works fine for me.
