Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati Version: 1:6.6.3-2 Severity: normal
After migration from Sarge (XFree) to Ech (Xorg) my Radeon Mobility 7500 card lost its 3D features. The driver "radeon" which cannot be selected during "dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg" should have 3D capabilities according "man radeon". However 3d runs in slow software emulation. The Xorg log says ,---- | | [...] | | (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/radeon_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/radeon_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or di | rectory) | (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering | (II) Loading local sub module "GLcore" | (II) LoadModule: "GLcore" | (II) Loading /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libGLcore.so | (II) Module GLcore: vendor="X.Org Foundation" | compiled for 7.1.1, module version = 1.0.0 | ABI class: X.Org Server Extension, version 0.3 | (II) GLX: Initialized MESA-PROXY GL provider for screen 0 | | | [...] | | (EE) AIGLX error: dlopen of /usr/lib/dri/radeon_dri.so failed (/usr/lib/dri/radeon_dri.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or di | rectory) | (EE) AIGLX: reverting to software rendering | (II) GLX: Initialized MESA-PROXY GL provider for screen 0 | xkb_keycodes { include "xfree86+aliases(qwertz)" }; | xkb_types { include "complete" }; | xkb_compatibility { include "complete" }; | xkb_symbols { include "pc(pc105)+de(nodeadkeys)" }; | xkb_geometry { include "pc(pc105)" }; | Synaptics DeviceInit called | SynapticsCtrl called. | | [...] `---- If you need the full log feel free to ask.
